Service interruption via unauthorized firmware-upgrade mode
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Missing authorization in GeoVision GV-LPC2011/LPC2211 1.13 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt live camera services. The SSVR firmware-upgrade handler permits Guest accounts to switch the device into upgrade mode before validating any firmware image. Guest access over the network is sufficient, and the resulting firmware-mode transition tears down live services without reported data disclosure or modification.
