Credential disclosure in Insyde Software InsydeH2O UEFI BIOS before 05.63.21 and 05.72.21 allows local users to read HDD passwords from UEFI variables. On ARM platforms, the HDD Password design leaves the password retrievable from firmware-managed UEFI variable storage instead of protecting it against local reads. Exploitation requires physical access, low privileges, and user interaction, and the disclosed disk password can then be reused to unlock protected storage.
