SSR XSS via unescaped processing instruction data
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
XSS in Angular server-side rendering allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript in victims' browsers through crafted input. The @angular/platform-server serializer leaves less-than characters and matching fallback-container closing tags unescaped in ProcessingInstruction data, so HTML5 RAWTEXT parsing activates following sibling markup. Reachability requires application or library code to create such a node with attacker-controlled data inside noscript, iframe, noembed, or noframes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=<= 19.2.25
