CVE-2026-88051Public exploit

Heap corruption via unchecked traineddata element count

Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026

Out-of-bounds write in GenericVector::read in Tesseract 5.5.3 and earlier allows attackers to corrupt the heap via a crafted model. The method allocates from the file-controlled reserved field, then writes size_used_ FontInfo elements without checking that the count fits the allocation. Reaching the flaw requires loading a legacy TESSDATA_INTTEMP component with version_id 4 or later; corruption can crash the process or alter heap contents.
