GridFS file disclosure and deletion via operator injection
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
NoSQL injection in MongoDB Java Driver 3.3.0 through 5.11.0 allows remote authenticated users to read, rename, or delete GridFS files. GridFS download, delete, and rename paths place a structured caller-supplied file ID into a query condition instead of matching it as a literal identifier. Reachability requires an authenticated user to influence an application file-ID argument; injected operators can select another file or every chunk in the bucket.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=3.3.0 <5.11.1
