Unauthorized data disclosure via unescaped regex characters
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Regular expression injection in MongoDB .NET/C# Driver 2.14.0 through 3.11.1 allows remote authenticated users to read unintended records. The LINQ character-set translator leaves backslashes and brackets unescaped when constructing a regular-expression query predicate from caller-controlled text. Exploitation requires an authenticated application user who can influence that LINQ value, and the result is limited to records outside the intended filter.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2.14.0 <=3.11.1
