Unauthenticated impersonation via shared backend connections
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Authentication bypass in Traefik Proxy 2.11.0 through 2.11.56 and 3.0.0 through 3.7.12 allows remote attackers to impersonate users over HTTP/3. The HTTP/3 ConnContext omits service.AddTransportOnContext, causing kerberosRoundTripper to reuse a shared backend transport instead of isolating each frontend connection. Exploitation requires HTTP/3, connection-bound NTLM or Negotiate authentication, and backend keep-alive; an unrelated client can read protected data and act as the victim.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
