Unauthenticated payment bypass via unsigned subscription callback
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Improper webhook authentication in Paymob for WooCommerce before 4.1.14 allows remote attackers to mark arbitrary orders as paid. The subscription-transaction branch of the wc-api=paymob_callback webhook updates WooCommerce order payment state without verifying the request signature. The endpoint requires no authentication, but the vulnerable path applies to stores using subscription payments and permits payment-state forgery rather than fund transfer.
