CVE-2026-87911Network attack vector

Command execution via unblocked COPY TO PROGRAM

Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026

OS command injection in Amazon Aurora Postgres MCP Server before 1.1.7 allows remote attackers to execute commands through crafted SQL. The default read-only SQL blocklist fails to reject COPY TO PROGRAM, allowing PostgreSQL to pass attacker-selected commands to the operating system. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to process the content through PG_WIRE_PROTOCOL and a database role with superuser or pg_execute_server_program.
