Authenticated code execution via ImageMagick argument injection
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Command injection in WP Photo Album Plus 9.2.09.002 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code via crafted upload filenames. The wppa_image_magick function concatenates the multipart filename into an exec() command and applies escapeshellcmd() to the whole string, leaving spaces as argument separators. Subscriber-level access and an upload path that invokes ImageMagick are required; success permits arbitrary server-side code execution.
