Metric injection via unvalidated set values

Metric injection in Net::Statsd::Lite 0 through 0.10.0 allows remote attackers to add StatsD metrics via untrusted set values. The set_add path passes its string value to record_metric without rejecting newlines, colons, pipes, or other control characters, allowing delimiters to form new protocol fields or records. Exploitation requires an application to pass network-controlled data into set_add; injected metrics can corrupt monitoring data sent to the configured StatsD daemon.
