Subscriber-level admin-area denial via unchecked state update
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Missing authorization in Seraphinite Accelerator before 2.29.24 allows remote authenticated users to make the WordPress admin area inaccessible. The seraph_accel_State update action accepts a subscriber-supplied nonnumeric firstUseTimeStamp value without a capability check, and later admin-page processing raises an uncaught PHP error on that malformed state. Subscriber access is required, and one state update prevents every administrator from loading subsequent administration pages.
