Privilege escalation in Boone Gorges Add User Autocomplete before 1.2 allows remote authenticated users to become administrators on multisite sites. The membership-invitation handler accepts a caller-supplied role and creates a pending invitation without a capability or nonce check. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and accepting the invitation grants control of the affected site.
