CVE-2026-8770Public exploit

Directory enumeration via unchecked lsTool path

Published May 17, 2026 · Updated May 17, 2026

Path traversal in Continue 1.2.0 through 1.2.22 allows local users to enumerate directories outside the workspace via crafted dirPath. The JSON-RPC server's lsTool passes the user-controlled path to walkDir without throwIfFileIsSecurityConcern and disables default ignore rules. A low-privileged local user who can reach the loopback service can disclose file and directory names, but the demonstrated flaw does not read file contents or modify data.
