CVE-2026-87679

Service crash or code execution via trunk-list overflow

Published Oct 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in Brocade Fabric OS before 10.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to crash a service or execute code via REST requests. The trunk configuration parser places user-supplied list elements into heap arrays without enforcing the maximum element count. Exploitation requires administrator privileges and a crafted request with excessive list delimiters; the resulting heap corruption can crash the service or permit arbitrary code execution.
