Command execution via malformed account-name cleanup
Published Oct 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026
OS command injection in Brocade Fabric OS before 9.2.2d and 10.0.0 through 10.0.0a1 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. During account deletion, an internal cryptographic-key cleanup routine processes previously accepted malformed account names and executes embedded shell metacharacters. Administrator initiation of the deletion is required; the resulting commands run on the affected switch.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
