Data-plane crash via oversized IKEv2 Nonce
Published Oct 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in the IKEv2 handler of Brocade Fabric OS before 10.0.1 allows remote attackers to crash its data-plane process. The handler processes an oversized Nonce payload in an initial IKE key exchange UDP packet without sufficient bounds enforcement, overwriting stack memory. Exploitation requires an extension switch or blade with an IPsec-enabled FCIP circuit reachable on UDP port 500; the reported consequence is a process crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
