Root command execution via unverified inter-switch IPC
Published Oct 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026
Command injection in Brocade Communications Systems Fabric OS before 9.2.2d and 10.0.0 through 10.0.0a1 lets local users run root commands. The inter-switch remote execution service processes command IPC frames at an elevated level without adequately verifying transmitted parameters. Exploitation requires control of one fabric-connected switch; remote execution on other managed fabric members requires that functionality to be enabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <9.2.2d
