Elevated command execution via unsanitized firmware-download parameters
Published Oct 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026
Command injection in Brocade Communications Systems Fabric OS before 9.2.2d and 10.0.0 through 10.0.0a1 allows local users to run shell commands. The firmware download component places unsanitized host and file-path parameters into system commands during upgrade requests. Exploitation requires high switch privileges and passive user interaction under the vendor's assessment; commands run with the firmware management daemon's elevated privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
