Authenticated router crash via unchecked parameter copy
Published May 17, 2026 · Updated May 17, 2026
Buffer overflow in H3C Magic B3 100R002 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash or reboot the router via a crafted param value. UpdateWanParams accepts param values shorter than 512 bytes, then copies them into a 64-byte destination array without checking that boundary. High-privileged access to the web management interface is required; demonstrated consequences include management-service failure and abnormal device behavior, while code execution remains unverified.
