Code execution via Extensions use-after-free
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Use-after-free in Google Chrome Extensions before 153.0.8010.36 on macOS allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted HTML. Google has not disclosed which Extensions object is freed or how crafted HTML causes a later access to that memory. The attack requires a Mac user to load attacker-controlled HTML; successful exploitation escapes Chrome's sandbox and runs arbitrary code.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
