Sandboxed code execution via V8 race condition
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Race condition in V8 in Google Chrome before 153.0.8010.36 allows remote attackers to execute code inside the sandbox via crafted HTML. Google identifies the locus only as V8 and has not disclosed the competing operations, shared resource, or synchronization failure that creates the race. A target must load attacker-controlled HTML, and successful exploitation remains confined to code execution within the renderer sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
No public exploit references are available in this record.
Labels summarize the accepted research assessment. They do not indicate a test against your environment.
