UI spoofing via incorrect Accessibility reference resolution
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Incorrect reference resolution in Google Chrome Accessibility before 153.0.8010.36 allows remote attackers to spoof UI elements on macOS. Chrome's Accessibility component resolves a reference from crafted HTML to the wrong target, causing attacker-controlled content to be represented as another UI element. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted page; the bounded consequence is deceptive browser UI, with no reported code execution.
