Sandbox memory disclosure via premature JPEG output
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Uninitialized resource use in Google Chrome Codecs before 153.0.8010.36 allows remote attackers to read sandbox memory via crafted HTML. JPEGImageDecoder starts output for sequential, non-interleaved JPEG data before the full input and all component scans are parsed, exposing uninitialized buffers. A victim must load attacker-controlled HTML, and the disclosed consequence is confined to memory available inside the renderer sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
