Address-bar spoofing via misbound Custom Tabs requests
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Google Chrome on Android before 153.0.8010.36 allows remote attackers to spoof the address bar via network traffic. In multi-network Chrome Custom Tabs, requests from a network-bound WebContents reuse a shared URLLoaderFactory instead of carrying the target network into a fresh factory. Exploitation requires crafted network traffic to reach this Android-only path; the false origin display can mislead users about the site being viewed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
