Missing authorization in Google Chrome Downloads before 153.0.8010.36 allows remote attackers to bypass system access restrictions. Google has not published which Downloads authorization check is absent or which protected system resource a crafted extension can reach. Exploitation requires a crafted Chrome extension to run, and the established consequence is limited to bypassing system access restrictions.
