Metadata disclosure via unchecked monitoring record ownership
Published Oct 9, 2026 · Updated Oct 9, 2026
Authorization failure in MongoDB Ops Manager allows remote authenticated users to read cross-project host metadata via monitoring records. Daily host monitoring retrieval accepts a record identifier without sufficiently validating that the record belongs to the requesting user's project. A read-only project role and the required identifier suffice to expose host and configuration details; the supplied record establishes disclosure, not modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.0.0 <=7.0.23
- Affected versionversion=8.0.0 <8.0.27
