Local privilege escalation via quarantined filename injection

OS command injection in affected Tanium Enforce releases allows local users to gain elevated privileges during antivirus remediation. The remediation path passes a maliciously named file already present in antivirus quarantine into an OS command without adequately neutralizing command elements. Exploitation requires access to a Tanium Client system, placement of the crafted file in antivirus quarantine, and user interaction that causes a remediation action to process it.
