Authenticated file deletion via path traversal
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Path traversal in Tanium Comply before 2.32.252, 2.35.306, and 2.37.308 allows remote authenticated users to delete server files. Tanium has not published the affected request handler or the pathname-validation error that permits traversal beyond the intended directory. Exploitation requires the Comply Deployment Write permission and permits deletion of arbitrary files on the Tanium Module Server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2.32 <2.32.252
