Metadata disclosure via ignored vector search filters
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Open WebUI 0.7.0 through 0.11.0 allows remote authenticated users to read inaccessible knowledge-base metadata. Eleven vector-backend search methods accept but ignore the readable-knowledge identifier filter, so shared-collection searches include every knowledge base. Exposure requires a nondefault affected vector backend, enabled knowledge tools, a tool-capable model, and an inaccessible knowledge base; document text and write access remain excluded.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
