CVE-2026-87013Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated resource consumption via cyclic folder hierarchy

Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026

Infinite loop in Open WebUI 0.10.0 through 0.11.0 allows remote authenticated users to consume server CPU and memory via a folder cycle. The re-parent handler accepts the folder itself or a descendant as its parent, while subtree walks fail to track visited folder identifiers. Default installations enable folders for ordinary accounts; each triggered request runs indefinitely and causes gradual resource consumption rather than immediate service interruption.
