System termination via malformed accessory input
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Memory corruption in MobileAccessoryUpdater in iOS, iPadOS, and macOS before 26.7 and before 27 allows physically proximate attackers to terminate the system. MobileAccessoryUpdater insufficiently validates data received from a connected accessory before using it in memory-sensitive processing. Exploitation requires connecting a malicious accessory, and Apple documents system termination rather than code execution or data access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
