CVE-2026-86830Network attack vector

Authenticated temporary-access privilege escalation

Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026

Incorrect privilege assignment in TEAM for AWS IAM Identity Center before 1.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to gain elevated access. AWS has not disclosed which authorization check assigns the excessive application privileges or how request scope is validated. Application-level TEAM access is required; successful use permits reading, approving, modifying, or revoking arbitrary requests and obtaining unintended temporary access to connected AWS accounts.
