Subscriber-level settings overwrite via unchecked REST authorization
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Authorization bypass in AtlasAiDev 3D Viewer 2.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to overwrite all plugin settings. The POST /wp-json/ar_try_on/v1/settings route reused get_route_access(), which authenticated users but never checked the manage_options capability before writing ar_try_on_settings. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and arbitrary option data changes site-wide plugin behavior without exposing or deleting stored data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
