Unauthenticated metadata disclosure via unguarded nodes index
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Missing authorization in Alchemy CMS before 7.4.16 and 8.0.0 through 8.3.5 allows remote attackers to disclose navigation metadata. Alchemy::Api::NodesController#index queries Node.all without accessible_by or authorize!, then serializes nodes across every site and language. No authentication or user interaction is required; exposure is limited to restricted or draft page names, URL paths, internal menu URLs, and navigation structure rather than page content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
