CVE-2026-86773Network attack vector

Object-name disclosure via missing child authorization

Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026

Broken object authorization in Snipe-IT 8.6.3 allows remote authenticated users to disclose restricted inventory object names. The Predefined Kit updateLicense, updateConsumable, updateAccessory, updateModel, and storeModel endpoints authorize only the parent kit before attaching a child object and returning its name through the kit relation index. A user needs only kits.edit permission; updateModel is code-affected but unreachable because its misspelled route returns an HTTP 500 response.
