Superadministrator command execution via mysql client commands

OS command injection in Snipe-IT before 8.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute shell commands through a crafted backup. RestoreFromBackup.php pipes the archive's SQL stream into the mysql client without --binary-mode, so a leading ! directive invokes a local shell command. Exploitation requires an authenticated superadministrator, the MySQL or MariaDB restore path, and the default unsanitized restore; commands run with the web-service account's access to secrets, data, and writable files.
