Command execution in electerm before 5.3.15 allows local users to run system commands through a renderer-to-main-process IPC bridge. The runGlobalAsync handler in preload.js accepts an unvalidated function name and arbitrary arguments, exposing openFileWithEditor, which passes attacker-controlled input to child_process.spawn. Exploitation requires script execution in an electerm renderer and runs commands with the desktop application's main-process privileges.
