Database compromise via hard-coded connection credentials
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Hard-coded credentials in Student Management System 98760f5711cf6dc8b4adca53a9e207ca49b02ebf allow remote attackers to administer its database. config/database.php passes a fixed username and password to mysqli_connect, while config/adminer.php exposes a database-management login path. Exploitation requires a deployment that retains the committed values and exposes the bundled Adminer endpoint, granting read and write access to student records, password hashes, grades, enrollment data, and accounts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
