SSRF via unsanitized Markdown resource loading
Published Jun 26, 2026 · Updated Jun 26, 2026
SSRF in Rapid7 InsightConnect Markdown Plugin before 4.0.2 allows remote attackers to make arbitrary outbound HTTP requests. The markdown_to_pdf action passes resource-loading HTML generated from crafted Markdown to its PDF renderer without restricting img src, CSS url(), or @import targets. No authentication or user interaction is required; destinations reachable from the Linux orchestrator can receive attacker-controlled requests.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
