CVE-2026-86553Network attack vector

Account takeover via spoofed application authentication parameters

Published Sep 20, 2026 · Updated Sep 20, 2026

Authentication bypass in ZTE SmartLife 2.8.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reset another account's password. The backend accepts authentication parameters acquired from the app, and /account/verify.serv returns the account ID for an attacker-supplied registered email. An authenticated session, acquired application parameters, and the target email are required; success grants control of the target account.
