CVE-2026-86551

Local Wi-Fi MAC disclosure via secure-settings query

Published Sep 20, 2026 · Updated Sep 20, 2026

Information disclosure in ZTE nubia Z80 Ultra firmware GEN_ZTE_PQ85A01V1.0.0B23MR3 and earlier allows local users to read the Wi-Fi MAC address. The read-only factory_mac_address field in the Settings.Secure database exposes the hardware identifier to non-privileged programs instead of restricting access. A locally installed program must run on the device, and the disclosed identifier enables device fingerprinting without changing data or interrupting service.
