Unauthorized article creation via missing project checks
Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Missing authorization in JetBrains YouTrack before 2026.2.18687 allows remote authenticated users to create articles in inaccessible projects. The knowledge base article-creation path accepts a target project without enforcing the caller's project-access permissions. A valid low-privileged account is required; the established impact is unauthorized article creation, not access to existing restricted content.
