Authenticated privilege escalation via unchecked group membership
Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Privilege escalation in JetBrains YouTrack before 2026.2.18634 allows remote authenticated users to gain elevated access through group changes. The group-membership update path applies membership changes without checking that the requesting account is authorized to make them. A low-privileged account and network access are required; successful exploitation can grant broader permissions within YouTrack.
