Superuser access via unauthenticated trusted-service registration
Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Missing authentication in JetBrains Hub before 2026.2.52442 allows remote attackers to gain superuser privileges through service registration. The service-registration path accepts an unauthenticated request that marks the registering service as trusted and automatically assigns superuser rights. No account or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants full administrative control over the Hub environment.
