Administrator RCE via unsigned core-upgrade archives
Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Lara Dashboard before 1.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a core-upgrade upload. The endpoint accepts and extracts an unsigned ZIP over the live source tree after checking only settings.edit, so a crafted routes/web.php runs in the application context. The default Admin role satisfies that gate, enabling access to application files, environment secrets, and database credentials.
