Inefficient attribute processing in The PHP League CommonMark 1.5.0 through 2.9.2 allows remote attackers to interrupt Markdown services. AttributesListener::processDocument and AttributesBlockContinueParser::tryContinue repeatedly merge growing sets of distinct attributes, producing quadratic work. Exploitation requires an application to register AttributesExtension and accept untrusted Markdown; crafted input can occupy PHP workers and prevent legitimate requests from completing.
