CVE-2026-8634Public exploit

Local secret disclosure via empty allowlist wildcard

Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026

Environment variable exposure in Crabbox before 0.12.0 allows context-dependent attackers to disclose local secrets through a malicious repository. The envAllowed function trims the asterisk from a bare wildcard to an empty prefix, which matches every environment-variable name and serializes each value into the remote command prefix. Exploitation requires an operator to run Crabbox inside the crafted repository; the remote command environment then receives API, cloud, and broker credentials.
