CVE-2026-86325Network attack vector

Memory corruption via oversized account_name parameter

Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026

Stack overflow in Moxa MGate MB3170 and MB3270 Series 1.0 through 4.7 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt execution via crafted names. The account management interface does not enforce the length of account_name before processing it in a stack buffer, so an oversized value overwrites adjacent memory. Read-only web management access is sufficient; successful exploitation permits disclosure of device-memory credentials, modification of memory, or interruption of gateway availability.
