Service interruption via unbounded merge-patch recursion

Uncontrolled recursion in java-json-tools json-patch 1.0 through 1.13 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via deeply nested JSON. JsonMergePatchDeserializer recursively processes every nested object in JsonMergePatch.fromJson without enforcing a depth limit, causing StackOverflowError. Exposure requires an application to pass attacker-controlled JsonNode input to the merge-patch API; repeated failures can exhaust its processing threads.
